Code, Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis § 6–317","heading":"","body":"(a) A license holder or an employee of a license holder may not require, as a condition of sale of an alcoholic beverage for on–premises consumption, that an individual buy more than one bottle, container, or other serving of an alcoholic beverage at a time.\n(b) The issuer of a license may revoke or suspend the license for a violation of this section.\n(c) Instead of or in addition to suspending or revoking the license, a person who violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to imprisonment not exceeding 1 year or a fine not exceeding $1,000 or both for each offense.","path":["Article - Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gab\u0026section=6-317","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:03Z","sha256":"7bee2e11393ae58f9b8b7a77ac1f6de9c69f846488ac52abb5cf463b548a710d","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-6-316","next":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-6-319"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
