Code, Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis § 6–402","heading":"","body":"(a) If a person violates this article and no penalty other than the suspension or revocation of a license or permit is provided, the person is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to imprisonment not exceeding 2 years or a fine not exceeding $1,000 or both.\n(b) If a court has imposed a penalty on an individual license holder who has obtained a license for or on behalf of a corporation, a partnership, or an unincorporated association:\n(1) if the penalty is a fine, the corporation, partnership, or unincorporated association also shall be liable for the payment of the fine; and\n(2) if the penalty is imprisonment, the individual license holder shall be liable to serve the term of imprisonment.","path":["Article - Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gab\u0026section=6-402","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:03Z","sha256":"f7110e0d594ffae23e58ccef495f62e8fc0552774c044e13ee0b40c765994100","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-6-401","next":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-9-101"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
