Code, Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis § 9–2001","heading":"","body":"(a) (1) Unless otherwise provided under this title, from 1 a.m. to 7 a.m. on Monday through Saturday and after 1 a.m. on Sunday, an individual may not consume alcoholic beverages in a premises licensed under this title.\n(2) An owner, operator, or manager of a premises licensed under this title may not allow the consumption of alcoholic beverages that is prohibited under paragraph (1) of this subsection.\n(b) A person who violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to a fine not exceeding $500 for each offense.","path":["Article - Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gab\u0026section=9-2001","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:03Z","sha256":"3ebba508fbbce54985d2fcd8c3a15cff0825f2d63447d0d1aa06a1d02a944ea6","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-9-1905","next":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-9-2002"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
