Code, Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis § 9–205","heading":"","body":"(a) An inspector has all the powers of a peace officer or sheriff in the State arising out of or relating to the enforcement of this article.\n(b) An inspector shall take the oath required by Article I, § 9 of the Maryland Constitution.\n(c) (1) An inspector shall provide a penalty bond of $2,000 to the Board and the County Commissioners jointly on the condition that the inspector faithfully perform the duties of office.\n(2) The county shall pay the cost of the bond.","path":["Article - Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gab\u0026section=9-205","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:03Z","sha256":"423dac26533441f595a442ef95f2306695ef77246935053323cc8d725edea2c2","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-9-204","next":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-9-206"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
