Code, Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis § 9–2703","heading":"","body":"(a) A license holder or an employee of a license holder who is charged with a violation of § 6–307 of this article:\n(1) shall receive a summons to appear in court on a certain day to answer the charges placed against the license holder or employee; and\n(2) may not be required to post bail pending trial in any court of the State.\n(b) A license holder or an employee of the license holder who violates § 6–307 of this article is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to imprisonment not exceeding 2 years or a fine not exceeding $1,000 or both.\n(c) The Board may not proceed against a license holder for a violation of § 6–307 of this article if the license holder or an employee of the license holder is found not guilty of, or granted probation before judgment for, the violation.","path":["Article - Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gab\u0026section=9-2703","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:03Z","sha256":"ccbf9ca3b53bb50286018728702325d5f43e4b51eeb223f06403488d691cf4e4","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-9-2702","next":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-9-2704"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
