Code, Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis § 9–2803","heading":"","body":"(a) The Board may revoke or suspend a license or impose a fine on a license holder who violates this article.\n(b) (1) In lieu of suspension, the Board may impose a fine not exceeding $2,500, which shall be paid into the general fund of the county.\n(2) In deciding whether to fine a license holder or suspend the license, the Board shall consider whether:\n(i) the public welfare and morals would be impaired by allowing the license holder to operate during the suspension period; and\n(ii) the payment of the fine will achieve the desired disciplinary purposes.","path":["Article - Alcoholic Beverages and Cannabis"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gab\u0026section=9-2803","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:03Z","sha256":"f0688ff1758f616400db45e09ed2417806885d1e062899b15cec290e7acbf7b4","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-9-2802","next":"us-md/md.-code-alcoholic-beverages-and-cannabis-9-2804"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
