Code, Business Occupations and Professions § 12–502","heading":"","body":"(a) Regardless of whether plumbing services are provided for compensation, a person who provides or assists in providing plumbing services shall comply with the State Plumbing Code or any applicable local plumbing code.\n(b) To ensure that plumbing services provided in a State building meet or exceed the standards of the State Plumbing Code, the plumbing work shall be inspected:\n(1) to the extent money is provided in the State budget, by a State plumbing inspector; or\n(2) if not inspected by a State plumbing inspector, by an inspector of the county or local government where the plumbing services are provided.","path":["Article - Business Occupations and Professions"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gbo\u0026section=12-502","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:13Z","sha256":"19b29cd949e11ed83717cde38ccbdf92915b13cc7383178741f81ce3ec82689d","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-business-occupations-and-professions-12-501","next":"us-md/md.-code-business-occupations-and-professions-12-503"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
