Code, Business Occupations and Professions § 13–406","heading":"","body":"(a) The Secretary shall issue to each individual who is certified as a private detective under this subtitle a certification card that identifies the individual as a certified private detective.\n(b) (1) Subject to this subsection, the Secretary shall determine the form and content of the certification card.\n(2) The certification card shall be of a size and made of materials appropriate for its intended use, as provided under § 13-407 of this subtitle.\n(3) The certification card shall contain:\n(i) a statement that in substance specifies that the individual is certified by the Secretary as a private detective;\n(ii) the name of the licensed private detective agency with or by which the individual is associated or employed; and\n(iii) any information that the Secretary considers appropriate to:\n1. identify the individual; or\n2. specify the authority of the individual.","path":["Article - Business Occupations and Professions"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gbo\u0026section=13-406","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:13Z","sha256":"2ee267d0ced248c7105c71919dd0dd1087f5752ad1b2284891e1dfcb3f4fed2b","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-business-occupations-and-professions-13-405","next":"us-md/md.-code-business-occupations-and-professions-13-407"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
