Code, Business Occupations and Professions § 14–302","heading":"","body":"(a) An officer or employee of a corporation may practice engineering without a license if:\n(1) the corporation is engaged in research and development engineering for the federal government; and\n(2) the work of the officer or employee relates to that research and development engineering.\n(b) An officer or employee of a corporation may practice engineering without a license if:\n(1) the corporation is engaged in:\n(i) manufacturing;\n(ii) industrial processes;\n(iii) industrial engineering; or\n(iv) maintenance and repair of structures or equipment used in industrial processes or manufacturing; and\n(2) the work of the officer or employee relates to the products or systems of the corporation or its subsidiaries or affiliates.\n(c) An officer or employee of a corporation may practice engineering under this section only as the practice relates to the officer’s or employee’s work for the corporation.","path":["Article - Business Occupations and Professions"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gbo\u0026section=14-302","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:13Z","sha256":"cd0074ca65d038e5012356011c527569f15bcc1d3f05700008e61a122adf5a50","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-business-occupations-and-professions-14-301","next":"us-md/md.-code-business-occupations-and-professions-14-303"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
