Code, Business Occupations and Professions § 15–405","heading":"","body":"(a) Subject to subsection (b) of this section and while a permit is in effect, it:\n(1) authorizes the holder to:\n(i) operate a business through which land surveying is practiced; and\n(ii) represent to the public that the holder provides the services of a professional land surveyor; or\n(2) authorizes the holder to:\n(i) operate a business through which property line surveying is practiced; and\n(ii) represent to the public that the holder provides the services of a licensed property line surveyor.\n(b) A permit authorizes the holder to provide a service that constitutes practicing land surveying or property line surveying only if the service is performed by an individual who is licensed or otherwise authorized under this title to practice.","path":["Article - Business Occupations and Professions"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gbo\u0026section=15-405","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:13Z","sha256":"8028d1e92c4abfc2fb01210cbf15c0f7fd310a1c25e1693437c5f73b8cf89bce","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-business-occupations-and-professions-15-404","next":"us-md/md.-code-business-occupations-and-professions-15-406"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
