Code, Business Occupations and Professions § 16–203","heading":"","body":"(a) (1) From among its members, the Commission annually shall elect a chairman and a vice chairman, provided:\n(i) if a chair is elected from among the real estate appraiser members, then the vice chairman shall be elected from among the licensed home inspector members; and\n(ii) if a chair is elected from among the licensed home inspector members, then the vice chairman shall be elected from among the real estate appraiser members.\n(2) At the end of a term, the chairman and vice chairman may be reelected.\n(b) The chairman shall perform the duties that this title and the Commission require.\n(c) While in office, the chairman shall be covered by a surety bond or an insurance policy of the type and in the amount of coverage determined by the State Treasurer under § 5–108 of the State Government Article.","path":["Article - Business Occupations and Professions"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gbo\u0026section=16-203","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:13Z","sha256":"76565623d7e60dca0186b3c77304e6e7d8905e7b824f7668089395f03f8d5164","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-business-occupations-and-professions-16-202","next":"us-md/md.-code-business-occupations-and-professions-16-204"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
