Code, Business Occupations and Professions § 17–308","heading":"","body":"(a) Subject to the provisions of this section, the Commission may waive any requirement of this subtitle for a particular license for an applicant who holds a comparable or equivalent license granted by another state.\n(b) The Commission may grant a waiver under this section only if the applicant:\n(1) pays the application fee required under § 17-307 of this subtitle for the license for which the applicant is applying;\n(2) provides adequate evidence that the applicant meets the qualifications otherwise required by this subtitle for the license for which the applicant is applying;\n(3) submits a certified copy of the applicant’s license from the other state that is comparable or equivalent to the license for which the applicant is applying; and\n(4) if the applicant holds a license comparable or equivalent to a real estate broker license, provides adequate evidence that the applicant actively maintains an office in the other state.","path":["Article - Business Occupations and Professions"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gbo\u0026section=17-308","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:13Z","sha256":"bd38f5f608d4a4f8f5e4c6fe552616b5f630e58d7f37af60d2b6049777d5ee21","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-business-occupations-and-professions-17-307","next":"us-md/md.-code-business-occupations-and-professions-17-309"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
