Code, Business Occupations and Professions § 18–3A–02","heading":"","body":"(a) To qualify for registration as a security systems technician or other individual who has access to circumventional information, an applicant shall:\n(1) be at least 18 years old; and\n(2) be of good moral character.\n(b) In addition to any other requirements and except for those applicants who survey properties only for the purpose of installing a security system, an applicant for registration as a security systems technician shall meet any training requirements that the Secretary establishes by regulation.\n(c) The State Department of Education, in conjunction with the Secretary, may establish by regulation a cooperative education program under which a minor may learn the security systems trade with on–site supervision by a security systems registrant under the auspices of cooperative education registration with the schools.","path":["Article - Business Occupations and Professions"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gbo\u0026section=18-3A-02","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:13Z","sha256":"9f7a7d7e89351218e6c05b5a02f27d31e7021a13850ae68451d3e462798748e9","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-business-occupations-and-professions-18-3a-01","next":"us-md/md.-code-business-occupations-and-professions-18-3a-03"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
