Code, Business Occupations and Professions § 2–408","heading":"","body":"(a) Within 1 month after the change or occurrence, a partnership that holds a permit shall give to the Board written notice of:\n(1) a change in the name of the partnership;\n(2) the admission of any partner who practices or intends to practice certified public accountancy in the State;\n(3) the death of any partner who practiced certified public accountancy in the State; and\n(4) the withdrawal of any partner who practiced certified public accountancy in the State.\n(b) Within 1 month after the change or occurrence, a limited liability company that holds a permit shall give to the Board written notice of:\n(1) a change in the name of the limited liability company;\n(2) the admission of any member who practices or intends to practice certified public accountancy in the State;\n(3) the death of any member who practiced certified public accountancy in the State; and\n(4) the withdrawal of any member who practiced certified public accountancy in the State.\n(c) Within 1 month after the change or occurrence, a corporation that holds a permit shall give to the Board written notice of:\n(1) a change in the name of the corporation;\n(2) the death of any stockholder; and\n(3) a change in stockholders.","path":["Article - Business Occupations and Professions"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gbo\u0026section=2-408","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:13Z","sha256":"afa41d526d4a56b0a87a48bec8487bc4374a7c75e6cdddffb18864ace6a4bfe2","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-business-occupations-and-professions-2-407","next":"us-md/md.-code-business-occupations-and-professions-2-409"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
