Code, Business Occupations and Professions § 4–607","heading":"","body":"(a) Except as otherwise provided by this title, the Board may impose on a person who violates any provision of this title a penalty not exceeding $1,000 for all violations cited on a single day.\n(b) In setting the amount of the penalty, the Board shall consider:\n(1) the seriousness of the violation;\n(2) the harm caused by the violation;\n(3) the good faith of the violator;\n(4) any history of previous violations by the violator; and\n(5) any other relevant factors.\n(c) The Board shall pay any penalty collected under this section into the General Fund of the State.","path":["Article - Business Occupations and Professions"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gbo\u0026section=4-607","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:13Z","sha256":"46efd0f00b799eb97136f385432433cf22b80fd54462ce55058cbade3a565daf","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-business-occupations-and-professions-4-605","next":"us-md/md.-code-business-occupations-and-professions-4-608"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
