Code, Business Occupations and Professions § 5–312","heading":"","body":"(a) The Board shall reinstate the license of an individual who, for any reason, has failed to renew the license if the individual:\n(1) applies to the Board for reinstatement within 5 years after the license expires;\n(2) meets the renewal requirements of § 5-311 of this subtitle; and\n(3) pays to the Board a reinstatement fee established by the Board in accordance with § 5-205 of this title, in addition to the renewal fee required under § 5-311 of this subtitle.\n(b) If an individual has failed to renew a license for any reason and then applies to the Board for reinstatement more than 5 years after the license has expired, the Board shall reinstate the license only if the individual:\n(1) meets the renewal requirements of § 5-311 of this subtitle;\n(2) passes the examination required by the Board; and\n(3) pays to the Board a reinstatement fee established by the Board in accordance with § 5-205 of this title, in addition to the renewal fee required under § 5-311 of this subtitle.","path":["Article - Business Occupations and Professions"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gbo\u0026section=5-312","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:13Z","sha256":"a0212e1f0b7ee2d570890286fc99ab4319b9716ec3d97984fc7e97a5ebe9de8f","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-business-occupations-and-professions-5-311","next":"us-md/md.-code-business-occupations-and-professions-5-313"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
