Code, Business Occupations and Professions § 5–608.1","heading":"","body":"(a) A person may not use or possess methyl methacrylate liquid monomer (MMA) in a beauty salon in this State.\n(b) To determine whether a person is in violation of subsection (a) of this section, an inspector may chemically test products or take samples of products at random or when the inspector suspects that a product is illegal.\n(c) A person who violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to a fine not to exceed $1,000 for all violations cited on a single day.","path":["Article - Business Occupations and Professions"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gbo\u0026section=5-608.1","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:13Z","sha256":"f33c32232f8ee21cbba398964a7c5b1ffeaced05d53404d8c405f0882b623f34","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-business-occupations-and-professions-5-608","next":"us-md/md.-code-business-occupations-and-professions-5-608.2"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
