Code, Business Occupations and Professions § 6–602","heading":"","body":"(a) Subject to the limitations in this section, a local jurisdiction shall waive its examination requirements for an individual who is licensed by the State Board to provide electrical services.\n(b) A local jurisdiction shall grant a waiver under this section only if the applicant:\n(1) pays any registration fee that the local jurisdiction requires; and\n(2) provides adequate evidence that the applicant:\n(i) is licensed as an electrician under this title;\n(ii) holds an active State license; and\n(iii) in place of any bond requirement of a local jurisdiction, meets the insurance requirements of § 6–604 of this subtitle.\n(c) Within 10 working days after payment of any local registration fee, a local jurisdiction shall issue a local registration to each applicant who meets the requirements of this section.","path":["Article - Business Occupations and Professions"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gbo\u0026section=6-602","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:13Z","sha256":"36b1b9911a0002dd62729bd2010942ec79402bfe506f00255866886b19947081","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-business-occupations-and-professions-6-601","next":"us-md/md.-code-business-occupations-and-professions-6-603"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
