Code, Business Occupations and Professions § 6.5–303.1","heading":"","body":"(a) The Board may authorize an applicant to take a license examination if the Board determines that the work experience of the applicant is substantially equivalent to the work experience requirements of a licensee for the license level requested by the applicant.\n(b) In evaluating the work experience of an applicant, the Board shall consider:\n(1) the size of the operation or plant at which the applicant acquired the work experience;\n(2) the type of machinery the applicant used in acquiring the work experience; and\n(3) (i) the job responsibilities or duties of the applicant; and\n(ii) the time period in which the applicant held each job responsibility or duty.\n(c) An applicant may receive not more than 2 years of work experience credit under this section if the Board determines that the work experience is acquired through:\n(1) a formal course of study; or\n(2) professional training.","path":["Article - Business Occupations and Professions"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gbo\u0026section=6.5-303.1","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:13Z","sha256":"7bd666d7e473bf48dd16156772717f77c36f79596ed811bd3815d7401dd4ac0e","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-business-occupations-and-professions-6.5-303","next":"us-md/md.-code-business-occupations-and-professions-6.5-304"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
