Code, Business Occupations and Professions § 7–206","heading":"","body":"(a) In addition to any powers set forth elsewhere, the Board may adopt:\n(1) any bylaw for the conduct of the proceedings of the Board; and\n(2) any regulation to carry out this title.\n(b) In addition to any duties set forth elsewhere, the Board:\n(1) shall administer this title;\n(2) shall adopt a seal; and\n(3) shall keep a record of its proceedings.\n(c) The Board shall keep a record that, for each application for a license, shows:\n(1) the applicant’s:\n(i) name;\n(ii) age;\n(iii) residence;\n(iv) place of business; and\n(v) educational and other qualifications;\n(2) the date of the application;\n(3) whether the applicant was required to take an examination;\n(4) the action of the Board on the application;\n(5) the reason for the action; and\n(6) any other information the Board considers necessary.\n(d) The Board shall:\n(1) keep a list of all licensed foresters that shows the name and place of business of each licensee;\n(2) provide a copy of the list:\n(i) on request, to any member of the public; and\n(ii) every 2 years, on or before March 31, to:\n1. each licensee; and\n2. the Secretary of State.\n(e) (1) With the advice of the established forestry associations, the Board shall adopt, by regulation, a code of ethics for practicing forestry.\n(2) The Board shall distribute a copy of the code of ethics:\n(i) to each applicant for a license; and\n(ii) on each renewal of a license, to each licensee.\n(f) The Board shall adopt regulations that implement the continuing education requirement set forth in § 7-308(c)(2) of this title.","path":["Article - Business Occupations and Professions"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gbo\u0026section=7-206","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:13Z","sha256":"cbabe746192d41ca5989431087be8f2d13a55010b8aea5c0c1b91ec2bb856894","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-business-occupations-and-professions-7-205","next":"us-md/md.-code-business-occupations-and-professions-7-207"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
