Code, Business Regulation § 11–1308","heading":"","body":"The compact committee shall have the following voting requirements:\n(1) each official shall be entitled to one vote on the compact committee;\n(2) a majority vote of the total number of officials on the compact committee shall be required to:\n(i) admit another party state;\n(ii) issue or renew a racing license; and\n(iii) receive or distribute any funds;\n(3) a two-thirds majority vote of the total number of officials on the compact committee shall be required to adopt, amend, or rescind the bylaws;\n(4) all other actions by the compact committee shall require a majority vote of those officials who are present for the vote; and\n(5) no action may be taken by the compact committee unless a quorum of the officials on the compact committee is present for the vote.","path":["Article - Business Regulation"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gbr\u0026section=11-1308","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:23Z","sha256":"cb41b98bc8cdcb812fc53afc60d4f43fc68c1fa06c7b7f395de3cdc40e190b74","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-business-regulation-11-1307","next":"us-md/md.-code-business-regulation-11-1309"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
