Code, Business Regulation § 11–705","heading":"","body":"(a) In this section, “Arabian breed horse” means a horse that:\n(1) is a purebred Arabian breed horse; and\n(2) has a valid certificate of registry with the Arabian Jockey Club of America.\n(b) A licensee at the Fair Hill Natural Resources Management Area may conduct live racing of Arabian breed horses if:\n(1) the purse for an Arabian breed race is funded by the licensee or the sponsor of the race;\n(2) the takeout provisions of § 11–704 of this subtitle apply to the race;\n(3) the licensee pays all taxes and fees associated with the Arabian breed race that would otherwise be due on a steeplechase, hurdle, or flat race; and\n(4) the Arabian breed race is approved by the Commission.","path":["Article - Business Regulation"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gbr\u0026section=11-705","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:23Z","sha256":"4df522bea4ccb41a1c7feb22c40833a6dacd1aa3a9e212cbd1ce77337f106468","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-business-regulation-11-704","next":"us-md/md.-code-business-regulation-11-801"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
