Code, Business Regulation § 12–206","heading":"","body":"(a) A license authorizes the licensee to do business as a dealer only at the address for which the license is issued.\n(b) Notwithstanding subsection (a) of this section, a dealer who holds a license under this subtitle may:\n(1) make purchases at an estate and judicial sale; and\n(2) transact business at the residence of the owner of a precious metal object or a place where the owner keeps a precious metal object:\n(i) on request of the owner; and\n(ii) after giving written notice of the proposed transaction and its location to the local law enforcement unit with jurisdiction over that location.","path":["Article - Business Regulation"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gbr\u0026section=12-206","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:23Z","sha256":"0d292cbca75cc14bd69936367c80783fee9d1c5e2ddab2026ee0b3a23f3127c5","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-business-regulation-12-205","next":"us-md/md.-code-business-regulation-12-207"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
