Code, Business Regulation § 12.5–206","heading":"","body":"(a) The Secretary shall issue a license to each applicant that meets the requirements of this subtitle and on receipt of:\n(1) a complete national and State criminal history record report from the Central Repository in accordance with § 12.5–204 of this subtitle; and\n(2) documentation of current general liability insurance in the amount required under § 12.5–205 of this subtitle.\n(b) The Secretary shall determine the size, form, and content of any license certificate that the Secretary issues.\n(c) The Secretary:\n(1) may issue a license only for a fixed business address; but\n(2) may not issue a license for an address that is:\n(i) a hotel or motel room;\n(ii) a motor vehicle;\n(iii) a post office box; or\n(iv) a location that does not meet the qualifications of a fixed business address as defined in § 12.5–101(d) of this title.\n(d) The Secretary may not issue a license to an individual who is 18 years old or younger.\n(e) A license issued under this title is not transferable.","path":["Article - Business Regulation"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gbr\u0026section=12.5-206","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:23Z","sha256":"59f9b6a835f43be10223d53a5d15c6fcc1385546e3035729a2075ecabaef08d8","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-business-regulation-12.5-205","next":"us-md/md.-code-business-regulation-12.5-207"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
