Code, Business Regulation § 14–118","heading":"","body":"(a) Each contract for the sale of a business opportunity shall be in writing.\n(b) The contract shall include:\n(1) the terms and conditions of payment;\n(2) a full and detailed description of the acts or services that the seller agrees to perform for the buyer;\n(3) the address of the seller’s principal office;\n(4) the name and address of the seller’s resident agent; and\n(5) the approximate date that the seller will deliver to the buyer any products, equipment, or supplies.\n(c) When a buyer signs a contract for the sale of a business opportunity, the seller shall give the buyer a copy of the contract.","path":["Article - Business Regulation"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gbr\u0026section=14-118","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:23Z","sha256":"eb199f01f2351233aa7ce969db5c10996456e83170583980ba67896d188298a9","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-business-regulation-14-117","next":"us-md/md.-code-business-regulation-14-119"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
