Code, Business Regulation § 14–215","heading":"","body":"(a) Except as otherwise provided in this section, an applicant for registration shall:\n(1) file with the Commissioner:\n(i) an application in the form that the Commissioner requires; and\n(ii) a prospectus for the franchise; and\n(2) pay an application fee of $500.\n(b) Instead of the application for registration and prospectus described in subsection (a) of this section, the Commissioner may accept an application for registration and prospectus that:\n(1) are found by the Commissioner to include disclosure requirements similar to those of this subtitle; and\n(2) are:\n(i) required by a unit of the federal government or another state government; or\n(ii) approved by an association of administrators of state franchise laws.\n(c) The applicant shall sign and verify the application for registration.","path":["Article - Business Regulation"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gbr\u0026section=14-215","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:23Z","sha256":"30575ba2a9070642b19e58bd5ff272f17d2e0874be3aec7f7ad214cf65aedfff","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-business-regulation-14-214","next":"us-md/md.-code-business-regulation-14-216"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
