Code, Business Regulation § 17–907","heading":"","body":"(a) (1) An applicant for a peddler license shall pay to the clerk the applicable license fee.\n(2) If the applicant is a foot peddler, the license fee is:\n(i) in Baltimore City, $200;\n(ii) in St. Mary’s County, the amount set by the County Commissioners, by resolution; and\n(iii) in any other county, $100.\n(3) If the applicant is a one–horse peddler, the license fee is:\n(i) in Baltimore City, $250;\n(ii) in St. Mary’s County, the amount set by the County Commissioners, by resolution; and\n(iii) in any other county, $150.\n(4) If the applicant is a two–horse peddler, the license fee is:\n(i) in Baltimore City, $300;\n(ii) in St. Mary’s County, the amount set by the County Commissioners, by resolution; and\n(iii) in any other county, $200.\n(5) If the applicant is a motor vehicle peddler, the license fee is:\n(i) in Baltimore City, $500;\n(ii) in St. Mary’s County, the amount set by the County Commissioners, by resolution; and\n(iii) in any other county, $300; but\n1. in Garrett County, the license fee is $100 for a resident of Garrett County; and\n2. in Worcester County, the license fee is $100 for a resident of Worcester County who sells only ice cream.\n(b) (1) In Harford County, an applicant for a peddler license must have the written permission of the owner or lessee of the property where the applicant will do business.\n(2) The written permission shall include:\n(i) the name, address, and telephone number of the owner or lessee of the property;\n(ii) the name, permanent address, and telephone number of the applicant;\n(iii) a description of the goods to be sold by the applicant; and\n(iv) the times of day and the number of days per month that the applicant is allowed to do business on the property of the owner or lessee.","path":["Article - Business Regulation"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gbr\u0026section=17-907","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:23Z","sha256":"9c2b89376eaa2ddd41859871392eb82c6474788fbea38596df3da4878e91cd48","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-business-regulation-17-906","next":"us-md/md.-code-business-regulation-17-908"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
