Code, Business Regulation § 20–308","heading":"","body":"(a) Except as otherwise provided in § 10–226 of the State Government Article, before the Secretary takes any final action under § 20–307 of this subtitle, the Secretary shall give the individual against whom the action is contemplated an opportunity for a hearing before the Secretary.\n(b) The Secretary shall give notice and hold the hearing in accordance with Title 10, Subtitle 2 of the State Government Article.\n(c) The Secretary may administer oaths in a proceeding under this section.\n(d) If, after due notice, the individual against whom the action is contemplated does not appear, nevertheless the Secretary may hear and determine the matter.","path":["Article - Business Regulation"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gbr\u0026section=20-308","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:23Z","sha256":"9a217f21259c2bc7b986ad364fbd4546e8cfd2e4c68821d52f4e8c0b7ad076da","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-business-regulation-20-307","next":"us-md/md.-code-business-regulation-20-309"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
