Code, Business Regulation § 4–407","heading":"","body":"(a) Except as provided in § 10-226 of the State Government Article, before the Secretary takes any final action under § 4-405(b), § 4-406, or § 4-416 of this subtitle, the Secretary shall give the person against whom the action is contemplated an opportunity for a hearing before the Secretary.\n(b) The Secretary shall give notice and hold the hearing in accordance with Title 10, Subtitle 2 of the State Government Article.\n(c) The Secretary may administer oaths in a proceeding under this section.\n(d) If, after due notice, the person against whom the action is contemplated does not appear, the Secretary may hear and determine the matter.","path":["Article - Business Regulation"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gbr\u0026section=4-407","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:23Z","sha256":"67175c9043c712e51e6ce3063e5370b49d65e8bd7bca28669cdb837d287c60ce","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-business-regulation-4-406","next":"us-md/md.-code-business-regulation-4-408"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
