Code, Business Regulation § 4.5–502","heading":"","body":"(a) Subject to the notice and hearing provisions of Title 10, Subtitle 2 of the State Government Article, the Division may bring a civil administrative action against a person that violates § 4.5-501(a) of this subtitle.\n(b) After a hearing, if the Division finds that a person has violated § 4.5-501(a) of this subtitle, the Division may:\n(1) order the person to cease and desist from unlawful practice; and\n(2) impose a civil penalty of not more than $1,000 for each day of unlawful practice.\n(c) Any party aggrieved by a decision and order of the Division under this section may file an appeal as provided under §§ 10-222 and 10-223 of the State Government Article.","path":["Article - Business Regulation"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gbr\u0026section=4.5-502","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:23Z","sha256":"c42581a3e639d076efd480e5d212c405d5834b082b633816146ee6742db396d8","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-business-regulation-4.5-501","next":"us-md/md.-code-business-regulation-4.5-503"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
