Code, Business Regulation § 6–408","heading":"","body":"(a) A charitable organization that solicits or intends to solicit charitable contributions after it submits a registration statement to the Secretary of State shall submit an annual report in accordance with this section.\n(b) A charitable organization shall submit an annual report to the Secretary of State:\n(1) within 6 months after the end of the charitable organization’s fiscal year; or\n(2) by any later date that the Secretary of State sets.\n(c) The annual report shall contain:\n(1) any change to the registration statement and to a previous annual report;\n(2) the financial information and any supporting audit or review that the Secretary of State requires; and\n(3) an affidavit signed by the chairman, president, or other principal officer attesting to the truth of the annual report and all supporting documents.","path":["Article - Business Regulation"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gbr\u0026section=6-408","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:23Z","sha256":"6447dfb4795091359aa79feff1af5d138c132bbc6aac98ee09542651900c854b","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-business-regulation-6-407","next":"us-md/md.-code-business-regulation-6-409"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
