Code, Business Regulation § 9A–205","heading":"","body":"(a) In addition to the powers set forth elsewhere, the Board shall:\n(1) adopt rules and regulations to carry out the provisions of this title;\n(2) adopt and enforce a code that sets minimum standards for installing, altering, remodeling, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, hydronic, and refrigeration systems;\n(3) administer examinations;\n(4) issue licenses;\n(5) keep a list of all licensees;\n(6) keep a record of its proceedings; and\n(7) adopt an official seal.\n(b) The Board shall enter into a cooperative agreement with a county for the county to enforce the code adopted under this section.\n(c) If a county has adopted a code prior to January 1, 1988 the county code shall apply within that county.\n(d) The Board exercises its powers, duties, and functions subject to the authority of the Secretary.","path":["Article - Business Regulation"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gbr\u0026section=9A-205","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:23Z","sha256":"10768d1eb9cb5bec62e80b188075868e6a95c0bb374957a028340f05bc023377","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-business-regulation-9a-204","next":"us-md/md.-code-business-regulation-9a-206"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
