Code, Commercial Law § 13–306","heading":"","body":"(a) If a gift or other inducement offered to a customer in exchange for business is not available at the time the customer complies with the conditions attached to the offer, the offeror shall:\n(1) Give the customer a certificate which states in unequivocal language that:\n(i) The customer has complied with the conditions which entitle him to receive the gift or other inducement; and\n(ii) The offeror will give the customer an identical or substantially similar item of equal value on presentment of the certificate; and\n(2) Fully comply with the terms of the certificate.\n(b) The certificate may designate a period of not less than 90 days after the date the customer receives the certificate within which the certificate must be presented for redemption.","path":["Article - Commercial Law"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gcl\u0026section=13-306","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:33Z","sha256":"403cb6b03f7e8678b4d84e9708c0f69770617915253ebb03ec0ea3bfe902d7b8","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-commercial-law-13-305","next":"us-md/md.-code-commercial-law-13-307"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
