Code, Commercial Law § 14–2401","heading":"","body":"(a) In this subtitle the following words have the meanings indicated.\n(b) “Purchaser” means a person who has contracted to acquire a vacation club membership.\n(c) (1) “Sales agent” means a person who has contracted to sell a vacation club membership.\n(2) “Sales agent” includes the developer of a vacation club membership plan.\n(d) “Vacation accommodation” means a place of lodging and related facilities over which the user does not have permanent exclusive control.\n(e) (1) “Vacation club membership” means an interest in a vacation club membership plan that entitles the purchaser to the use or occupancy of a vacation accommodation on a recurring basis, whether or not the exercise of the right to use or occupy depends on the availability of a vacation accommodation.\n(2) “Vacation club membership” includes an interest in a club that provides or arranges for the use or occupancy of campgrounds, condominiums, or other vacation accommodations.\n(3) “Vacation club membership” does not include a time-share defined under Title 11A of the Real Property Article.\n(f) “Vacation club membership plan” means a plan in which the purchaser has the right to the use or occupancy of any number of vacation accommodations on a recurring basis.","path":["Article - Commercial Law"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gcl\u0026section=14-2401","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:33Z","sha256":"d3aacc39f15db1723838fd4e66a2494c4ba041656a77ec8ea91e50daba926966","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-commercial-law-14-2304","next":"us-md/md.-code-commercial-law-14-2402"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
