Code, Commercial Law § 14–4201","heading":"","body":"(a) In this subtitle the following words have the meanings indicated.\n(b) “Commissioner” means the Commissioner of Financial Regulation in the Maryland Department of Labor.\n(c) “Consumer borrower” means an individual receiving a loan or other extension of credit for personal, household, or family purposes.\n(d) “Mobile home” has the meaning stated in § 11–501 of the Financial Institutions Article.\n(e) “Mobile home retailer” means a person that:\n(1) Sells mobile homes at retail;\n(2) Provides information regarding financing products to a borrower for the purchase of a mobile home; and\n(3) Is not:\n(i) A mortgage lender, as defined in § 11–501 of the Financial Institutions Article; or\n(ii) A mortgage originator, as defined in § 11–601 of the Financial Institutions Article.","path":["Article - Commercial Law"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gcl\u0026section=14-4201","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:33Z","sha256":"5cf3449c0fa1cb27c6391e80a9ca4cd7c9eb9fd8eec1b5fd43589d21d873ed84","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-commercial-law-14-4104","next":"us-md/md.-code-commercial-law-14-4202"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
