Code, Commercial Law § 17–407","heading":"","body":"(a) A museum may provide the notice required under this subtitle by publication if the museum does not:\n(1) Know the identity of the lender or a designated agent of the lender;\n(2) Know the address of the lender or a designated agent of the lender; or\n(3) Receive proof of receipt of a notice that was sent by certified mail within 30 days after the notice was mailed.\n(b) A notice by publication shall be published at least once a week for 2 consecutive weeks in a newspaper of general circulation in:\n(1) The county in which the museum is located; and\n(2) If the identity of the lender is known, the county of the lender’s last known address.","path":["Article - Commercial Law"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gcl\u0026section=17-407","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:33Z","sha256":"d97127a48b8c13c7637252a1dac1271f4d67fc3fff23396a07467213fb92ac41","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-commercial-law-17-406","next":"us-md/md.-code-commercial-law-17-408"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
