Code, Commercial Law § 19–301","heading":"","body":"A supplier may not:\n(1) Coerce a dealer to accept delivery of equipment, parts, or accessories that the dealer has not ordered voluntarily unless the parts or accessories are safety parts or accessories required by the supplier;\n(2) Condition the sale of additional equipment to a dealer on a requirement that the dealer also purchase other goods or services, except that a supplier may require the dealer to purchase parts that are reasonably necessary to maintain the quality of operation in the field of the equipment used in the trade area;\n(3) Coerce a dealer into refusing to purchase equipment manufactured by another supplier; or\n(4) Terminate, cancel, or fail to renew or substantially change the competitive circumstances of the retail agreement based on the results of any circumstance beyond the dealer’s control, including a natural disaster such as a sustained drought, high unemployment in the dealer market area, or a labor dispute.","path":["Article - Commercial Law"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gcl\u0026section=19-301","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:33Z","sha256":"9cc02e45e475091e9bd525a9ebdaa7041792687d1442264d612abb328e3a05b1","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-commercial-law-19-205","next":"us-md/md.-code-commercial-law-19-302"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
