Code, Commercial Law § 24–202","heading":"","body":"(a) Subject to subsection (b) of this section, a court may appoint as an ancillary receiver for property located in the State or subject to the jurisdiction of the court for which a receiver could be appointed under this title:\n(1) A receiver appointed in another state; or\n(2) A nominee of the receiver in the other state.\n(b) An ancillary receiver under subsection (a) of this section shall:\n(1) Be eligible to serve as a receiver under § 24–203 of this subtitle; and\n(2) Further the person’s possession, custody, control, or disposition of property subject to the receivership in the other state.\n(c) A court may issue an order that gives effect to an order entered in another state appointing or directing a receiver.\n(d) Unless the court orders otherwise, an ancillary receiver appointed under subsection (a) of this section has the rights, powers, and duties of a receiver appointed under this title.","path":["Article - Commercial Law"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gcl\u0026section=24-202","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:33Z","sha256":"1a45926a1d70ab93a7044fbe58b6858dd5581b26bdfcb617c579c00f5d8cf371","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-commercial-law-24-201","next":"us-md/md.-code-commercial-law-24-203"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
