Code, Commercial Law § 24–204","heading":"","body":"(a) The court may:\n(1) Require a receiver to post a bond or security with the court;\n(2) Authorize a receiver to act without posting a bond or other security; or\n(3) Authorize a receiver to act before the receiver posts any bond required by the court.\n(b) If a court requires a bond to be posted under subsection (a) of this section, the bond shall be:\n(1) Conditioned on the faithful discharge of the receiver’s duties;\n(2) With one or more sureties approved by the court;\n(3) In an amount the court specifies; and\n(4) Effective as of the date of the receiver’s appointment.\n(c) The court may also authorize a receiver to act without posting a bond or other security.","path":["Article - Commercial Law"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gcl\u0026section=24-204","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:33Z","sha256":"75c7c942b4c9369e43a0c2eac7c7e4ff6de29d14df16ea5f5486b4dff72fc397","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-commercial-law-24-203","next":"us-md/md.-code-commercial-law-24-205"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
