Code, Commercial Law § 9–327","heading":"","body":"The following rules govern priority among conflicting security interests in the same deposit account:\n(1) A security interest held by a secured party having control of the deposit account under § 9-104 has priority over a conflicting security interest held by a secured party that does not have control.\n(2) Except as otherwise provided in paragraphs (3) and (4), security interests perfected by control under § 9-314 rank according to priority in time of obtaining control.\n(3) Except as otherwise provided in paragraph (4), a security interest held by the bank with which the deposit account is maintained has priority over a conflicting security interest held by another secured party.\n(4) A security interest perfected by control under § 9-104(a)(3) has priority over a security interest held by the bank with which the deposit account is maintained.","path":["Article - Commercial Law"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gcl\u0026section=9-327","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:33Z","sha256":"8f7f6c87b7759ccc4546a24f9223cd1e90c41984ed1133c9a87e8320452faddc","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-commercial-law-9-326","next":"us-md/md.-code-commercial-law-9-328"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
