Code, Commercial Law § 9–623","heading":"","body":"(a) A debtor, any secondary obligor, or any other secured party or lienholder may redeem collateral.\n(b) To redeem collateral, a person shall tender:\n(1) Fulfillment of all obligations secured by the collateral; and\n(2) The reasonable expenses and attorney’s fees described in § 9-615(a)(1).\n(c) A redemption may occur at any time before a secured party:\n(1) Has collected collateral under § 9-607;\n(2) Has disposed of collateral or entered into a contract for its disposition under § 9-610; or\n(3) Has accepted collateral in full or partial satisfaction of the obligation it secures under § 9-622.","path":["Article - Commercial Law"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gcl\u0026section=9-623","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:33Z","sha256":"a2feecce5f162ff16a47d2a147729ccd2697a16564776b17b553ec953fe7af33","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-commercial-law-9-622","next":"us-md/md.-code-commercial-law-9-624"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
