Code, Corporations and Associations § 5–511","heading":"","body":"(a) Within 30 days after the Department accepts for record the articles of incorporation of a cooperative or the articles of amendment and restatement of a corporation converting into a cooperative, the cooperative shall adopt bylaws not inconsistent with law or its charter for the regulation and management of its affairs.\n(b) The bylaws of a cooperative may be adopted, altered, amended, or repealed only by the affirmative vote of two thirds of the members voting in person or by mail.\n(c) The original or a certified copy of the bylaws and all amendments shall be kept at the principal office of the cooperative.","path":["Article - Corporations and Associations"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gca\u0026section=5-511","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:43Z","sha256":"c123c4d1dd6a66fee1097c27d3b356df1c3e735e2762390aa20b9df1af9ae88a","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-corporations-and-associations-5-510","next":"us-md/md.-code-corporations-and-associations-5-512"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
