Code, Corporations and Associations § 5–619","heading":"","body":"(a) Each member of a cooperative is entitled to one vote on each matter submitted to a vote at a meeting of the members.\n(b) (1) Voting may be:\n(i) In person;\n(ii) By proxy;\n(iii) By mail;\n(iv) By electronic transmission; or\n(v) By any other method provided in the bylaws.\n(2) Subject to subsection (c) of this section, if the bylaws provide for voting by a method other than in person, they also shall establish the conditions under which voting is allowed.\n(c) A person may not vote by proxy for more than three members at any meeting of the members.","path":["Article - Corporations and Associations"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gca\u0026section=5-619","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:43Z","sha256":"3ac7606adfe0f5d81a3532ac11b9dadc8f5af5b01bf0dbbf5e7da0439c4a16c0","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-corporations-and-associations-5-618","next":"us-md/md.-code-corporations-and-associations-5-622"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
