Code, Corporations and Associations § 7–103","heading":"","body":"In addition to any other activities which may not constitute doing intrastate business in this State, for the purposes of this article, the following activities of a foreign corporation do not constitute doing intrastate business in this State:\n(1) Maintaining, defending, or settling an action, suit, claim, dispute, or administrative or arbitration proceeding;\n(2) Holding meetings of its directors or stockholders or carrying on other activities which concern its internal affairs;\n(3) Maintaining bank accounts;\n(4) Maintaining offices or agencies for the transfer, exchange, and registration of its securities;\n(5) Appointing and maintaining trustees or depositaries with respect to its securities;\n(6) Transacting business exclusively in interstate or foreign commerce; and\n(7) Conducting an isolated transaction not in the course of a number of similar transactions.","path":["Article - Corporations and Associations"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gca\u0026section=7-103","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:43Z","sha256":"c1d259c824437fbd03bcd3b4c85c34165dc4a7593415180e1b535216e1fb4d29","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-corporations-and-associations-7-102","next":"us-md/md.-code-corporations-and-associations-7-104"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
