Code, Correctional Services § 10–102","heading":"","body":"(a) The Department shall:\n(1) advise the Board in connection with each engineering question or matter concerning construction of a State correctional facility;\n(2) supervise each engineering question or matter concerning the design or construction of a State correctional facility;\n(3) subject to subsection (b) of this section, approve each architectural and engineering design and service in connection with the construction of a State correctional facility; and\n(4) examine and approve or disapprove each design, plan, and specification prepared in connection with the preparation or execution of a contract for construction of a State correctional facility.\n(b) Architectural and engineering services shall be procured as provided under Title 13, Subtitle 3 of the State Finance and Procurement Article.","path":["Article - Correctional Services"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gcs\u0026section=10-102","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:53Z","sha256":"39386cebf26968571657d420ccdc8f4e6aacad538e9910c0a8e2a9aa48b254da","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-correctional-services-10-101","next":"us-md/md.-code-correctional-services-10-103"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
