Code, Correctional Services § 10–306","heading":"","body":"(a) With respect to any claim, a member of the Board may:\n(1) administer oaths; and\n(2) issue subpoenas to compel:\n(i) the attendance of witnesses; and\n(ii) the production of pertinent records or documents.\n(b) The Board may petition a circuit court for an order of contempt against a person who refuses to:\n(1) comply with a subpoena issued by a Board member;\n(2) comply with a request by a Board member to be sworn to an oath; or\n(3) answer as a witness before the Board.","path":["Article - Correctional Services"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gcs\u0026section=10-306","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:53Z","sha256":"3db5fb5c97b2389b8a79dcaaf99b59e182b174a25d04c75eaa76caacd7690f66","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-correctional-services-10-305","next":"us-md/md.-code-correctional-services-10-307"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
