Code, Correctional Services § 10–912","heading":"","body":"(a) On request, a correctional officer may have expunged from any file the record of a formal complaint made against the correctional officer if:\n(1) the Intelligence and Investigative Division that investigated the complaint:\n(i) exonerated the correctional officer of all charges in the complaint; or\n(ii) determined that the charges were unsustained or unfounded; or\n(2) a hearing board acquitted the correctional officer, dismissed the action, or made a finding of not guilty.\n(b) There is no time requirement for expungement under paragraph (1) of this subsection.","path":["Article - Correctional Services"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gcs\u0026section=10-912","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:53Z","sha256":"cf386bf4f54d7b8565ea39cfff193ceaeb3ffe28d52474fc5013bd64be158046","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-correctional-services-10-911","next":"us-md/md.-code-correctional-services-10-913"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
