Code, Correctional Services § 3–412","heading":"","body":"(a) The Commissioner shall employ correctional employees to monitor and provide security for incarcerated individuals in the program.\n(b) A correctional employee designated to monitor incarcerated individuals in the program may:\n(1) obtain and execute search warrants as authorized under § 3–415 of this subtitle; and\n(2) make arrests as authorized under § 2–207 of the Criminal Procedure Article.\n(c) A correctional employee authorized to make arrests under this section shall:\n(1) meet the minimum qualifications required by the Maryland Police Training and Standards Commission; and\n(2) complete satisfactorily the training prescribed by the Maryland Police Training and Standards Commission.","path":["Article - Correctional Services"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gcs\u0026section=3-412","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:56:53Z","sha256":"3e42612f23e1851bbdaef82309b23287b4d25adf3631e632db90ffbc5c645e09","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-correctional-services-3-411","next":"us-md/md.-code-correctional-services-3-413"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
