Code, Courts and Judicial Proceedings § 1–205","heading":"","body":"(a) (1) In this section the following words have the meanings indicated.\n(2) “Court” means the Supreme Court of Maryland, the Appellate Court of Maryland, a circuit court, the District Court of Maryland, and an orphans’ court.\n(3) “Personal information” means an individual’s:\n(i) Social Security number; or\n(ii) Driver’s license number.\n(4) “Publicly post or display” means to intentionally make available to the public.\n(b) Except as otherwise provided by law, on or after June 1, 2010, a court, to the extent practicable, may not publicly post or display on an Internet website maintained or paid for by the court an individual’s personal information.","path":["Article - Courts and Judicial Proceedings"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gcj\u0026section=1-205","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:03Z","sha256":"631b7bd55c763b2951a9e36cf63dbd13b6c41b0d3b5f207db128d3cb892c815e","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-courts-and-judicial-proceedings-1-204","next":"us-md/md.-code-courts-and-judicial-proceedings-1-301"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
