Code, Courts and Judicial Proceedings § 11–107","heading":"","body":"(a) Except as provided in § 11-106 of this subtitle, the legal rate of interest on a judgment shall be at the rate of 10 percent per annum on the amount of judgment.\n(b) The legal rate of interest on a money judgment for rent of residential premises shall be at the rate of 6 percent per annum on the amount of the judgment.\n(c) The legal rate of interest on a money judgment for delinquent real or personal property taxes shall be the greater of:\n(1) The sum of the rates fixed under §§ 14-603 and 14-702 of the Tax - Property Article for interest and penalties; or\n(2) At the rate of 10 percent per annum.","path":["Article - Courts and Judicial Proceedings"],"source_url":"https://mgaleg.maryland.gov/mgawebsite/Laws/StatuteText?article=gcj\u0026section=11-107","current_through":"2026-01-01","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T19:57:03Z","sha256":"b340abf781cfff93228b321e402f0f54f2ec62043b44320d51cbc5aa9bf1d3c4","source_id":"us-md","stale":false,"prev":"us-md/md.-code-courts-and-judicial-proceedings-11-106","next":"us-md/md.-code-courts-and-judicial-proceedings-11-108"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
